I was looking ahead and decided that I would also do the install of the two main landing gear supports now as well. I test fitted them and ran into a problem. The last photo shows some marked hole locations when I test fit the piece. There are two holes that fall only 1/4” from the edge of the piece. Since these are 3/16” bolt holes, the edge distance should be 3/8”.
After double and triple checking all the other pieces I made and attached, I checked the kit supplied pieces. They are short by 1/8” according to the plans and that accounts exactly for the misaligned holes. I have sent a note to Sonex about how to remedy this.
