The crank is installed in the first picture below and so are the four tappets.  The cam is installed in the second picture with the cam lobes positioned over the tappets.

      Meet my nemesis. This flywheel assembly is supposed to fit over the end of the crankshaft in the second picture. It did not want to go and it was very difficult to figure out which dowel pins were hanging it up. Many hours of head scratching and polishing holes and dowels with emery cloth finally got it started and only modest taps with the rubber mallet where needed to get it on.  Did I say many hours?
