With the wing out of the way I now have a clear table for the first time in a long time.  After a little clean up it was time to start setting up for the engine build.  The second picture shows the engine rebuild stand attached to the table and the right case half in the stand.

The stand was cheap, and it fit like it.  It took me an hour to fit the case despite the fact that it is a VW stand.
      I gathered all the engine parts and then laid them out on the table in mostly the order they would be used.  I’m all ready to start building.
