This is the counterweight assembly for the aileron. It is the only control surface that needs to be balanced. The weight will be internal to the main wing box and is attached to the aileron via the two ribs opposite the lead.  The clips I made can be seen positioned between the counterweight arms and ribs. Nothing is attached in these pictures, just a trial fitting to see how everything goes together.

The lead cut alright.  I kept it lubricated and hand cut it with a hack saw.  Drilling and attaching it will be the next task.  It is an odd material to work with but according to everything I’ve read, as long as I keep the material lubricated and don’t over heat it, it should drill OK.  Worked for the cutting so I hope it works for the drilling.
