Then I headed into the weeds again.  Applying some glass and structural filler on the inside did not go well.  My pot of flox was perfect for about a minute, then it started to stiffen up quick.  I was not able to get some glass that would support additional fill to sit nice either.

The first picture shows the sloppy mess.  I did eventually get it much nicer and then was able to mount the new rib and start the fill process.
