The ELT and baggage support structure came in four ounces over my design goal of six pounds. Not too bad and I have a shot at getting the entire baggage structure at ten pounds or less. I may or may not build and attach the actual baggage container before flight testing. I have a couple of ideas from a simple drop in sling structure to a removable aluminum box. I intend to limit the area to 30 pounds. Sonex lists 40 pounds so I will just subtract my structure weight. I didn’t build the plane for cargo hauling and 30 pounds of underwear can last me awhile.
