Recently there has been a lot of talk on the Sonex Yahoo group about using a brake. If I was scratch building it would be essential unless you bought all the channel and control surface material from Sonex. The question is whether you need one for the kit?
Well, at this point I have made two seat pans, bent the firewall and all the other bends the kit requires without one. It just takes clamps, hardwood with various radius edges and a hammer. You do not need a brake for the kit, it can be done without one. Remember, the material in these pictures is .063” and the bends came out great.
