The first two pictures clear up an omission in the last log.  I forgot to take some pictures of the hose end with the coupling off.  You can see the blue fitting has a profiled insert that goes into the hose and compresses it against the inside wall of the red fitting.  The blue end also is threaded to screw into the red fitting.

The following two pictures show the routing and connection of the EGT and CHT senders.
