The bottom two pictures show a typical piece for this assembly. To make it, cut out an oversized piece from the channel stock. Square up one end and then shape that end.  Then measure to the other end and square it up and shape it.  Drill any pilot holes if needed.

The thick clips needed to be bent. I have a piece of oak that has 1/16” and 1/8” radiuses on two different ends.  I select the correct radius, clamp it in the vice with the piece to be bent between it and another piece of wood and whack it with the hammer.  Perfection.  I also have a small hand break for lighter stock that I can use on some pieces - the less than 90° bend in the thin channel for example.
