The first picture shows the opposite side of the bow which had the same solution as the other side for too short of a bow. The rivet is an aluminum rivet as are all the rivets that go through the plexiglass. I could have hand pulled them but I turned the pressure way down – picture two – on my rivet gun and it pulled nice and gently with no bang. I think it did a nicer job than the ones I hand pulled on the canopy patch. Then it was all done. I will leave the protective coating on until it is ready to fly. Working with the cracked canopy and the protective coating off, I already scratched it just a little. It was still nice to see it without the protective film however. The last two pictures show the nearly complete drawing tree. The only thing left in the main path is the wheel fairings. The remaining boxes in the lower right corner are all engine, cowling and prop related. I actually think I will finish this thing. |
