The brake hardware needs some touch up work. Sonex recommends rounding the edges of this brake component. It does not file easily. I used a dremel attachment that did an excellent job. The second picture shows how I got the pads on and off quite easily despite the strong springs. I am using a spreader tool. Open up the arms and the pivot block comes right out. Remove the spreader tool and then with your hands, you can pull hard enough on one pad to pivot them off of the other end. They go back on just as easily.
