More unexpected items. So far, all the springs I have installed are correctly sized and just get put in place. When I got these rudder return springs out from the kit, I realized they didn’t have ends on them and would also need to be trimmed down to size. These springs are just screen door return springs so getting replacements if I botched them would be trivial. I was faced with a few, how am I going to do that, thoughts before I managed to get it done fairly easily. The inside diameter of the spring was 3/8” so my nice long drill bits in this size came in handy to help form one of the ends.
