The previous steps took a lot of time. It was difficult to measure the position of the mount as it hangs in space in front of the fuselage. The laser level came in handy here, but just double checking all the measurements went very slowly. I took several days to measure before I trimmed and then several more days before I was comfortable with its final position.
Once it was in place, shown in the first picture, it was time to start drilling. The remaining pictures show the mount after all of the initial match drilling has taken place.
