The new ones come with a picture and a description to mount the sender as close to the plug as possible. I held the sender in place and marked the center. I also had marked the bottom of the cooling fins just to make sure I was far enough away from them as well. Then I drilled a hole and mounted the sender with the supplied self tappers from Sonex. I also reinstalled the intakes.
