There is no reference to two holes in the engine case as to how or whether to cover them.  I elected to cover both of them as shown in the first picture. The bigger hole is covered with the plate. This covers a hole machined into the rear to keep the starter gear mechanism from hitting the case when it is engaged.  This piece covers the hole but can’t be hit by the starter.

The rest of the pictures show some of the hardware that has arrived.  I have to make two hoses that connect the oil pump to the oil cooler.  The specified oil cooler requires some reduction and connection adapters to fit the required hose.
