The first two pictures show the installation and completion with the patch in place on the airplane.  The third picture shows the patch after the canopy has been removed.  I have decided that although this worked well, I will attempt to redo this patch.  I put the patch on the outside and the backs of the aluminum rivets are in oversized holes up against the plexi.  I will move the patch to the inside with the heads on the outside with 1/2” aluminum washers between the heads and the plexi.

The last picture shows what I found in the other drilled holes after I removed the canopy.  It turns out that there were two other holes that had cracks developing in them as well - one of which is shown.  That meant I really had three cracks in the canopy.
