The first picture shows an essential element of my test.  I keep this fire extinguisher in the garage and had it at arms length during the fuel system leak checks.  For the several checks I made, when I was sure it was safe, I powered on everything on the panel.

At this point the tank is not actually tightened in position. Before doing that it was time to rivet the glare shield and upper firewall in place.  With that accomplished, I got under the panel – a real pain in the butt – and tightened the tank straps.  I savored the moment and then marked off two more plans pages.
