I forgot to take pictures of the end of the transponder cable with the D15 connector that I made. The process was the same as for this cable which connects the radio to the Enigma via a serial port.  

This cable only needs three pins, ground, transmit and receive. I used a cable that had two stereo 1/8” pins and cut it to length. The first picture shows all the components, both ends of the cable, the stripped ends of the three wires, the D9 connector and the male pins.

These pins are crimped using the tool in the remaining pictures. Insert the pin, insert the wire into the pin, crimp and you have a completed pin.
