And the wings are back on and bolted in place for the first time. I also discovered a neat trick that is shown in the first two pictures. These pictures show the wing root doublers. They have not been trimmed to the correct size yet. If I tried to install them in their correct positions I would not be able to get the wings on, but thanks to the design and the precision of CNC made parts, you can attach them via the wrong holes. They are then offset 1/2”. It will be trivial to now mark the trim line for both, take them off and trim them and then attach them. If you have done this as a scratch builder, hats off to you for some precision drilling. The rest of the pictures just show the wings back on and the finished interior, including the now installed wing bolts. What a fun couple of weeks seeing parts made over a couple of years all start to come together. |
