To access the main gear, I just partially removed the seat pan and rotated it up and out of the way.  Looking inside and having looked at the next steps, I decided to attach the lap belts now.  

      They went in very simply. However, because of the lowered seat mod, the two center attach points are farther away from each other. The standard plans call for one long bolt to run through here and attach both ends with washers acting as spacers between them.  They are way to far apart to use the bolt that I got with the standard hardware kit so I switched to two shorter bolts. The modification instructions do not say what to do here but I am comfortable with this solution. They each now carry half the load.
