I put all of the avionics away, cleaned up the table and started to prepare for starting on the fuselage.  I got out and reviewed all the plan pages for the aft portion of the fuselage. I then started pulling material, angle stock, channel stock and kit parts that are called out on all those pages.

I also got the band saw and belt sander back on the table.  The saw needed a new blade, so I picked up a 6 tooth per inch 1/4” blade that works very well on aluminum.

I did all of this before Christmas and on Christmas Eve I had a couple of hours and produced my first fuselage piece.  This piece isn’t for the aft fuselage – it is part of the canopy assembly.  I had to pull this plan page because the part was listed as being made from the same material I had pulled for another part.  As it turns out, the kit now includes two precut parts, and in addition, the stock that used to be needed to make those two pieces. You now use that raw stock for other pieces.

I made this and put it in with the kit made parts to be used later.
