The outboard end of the rear spars have a square hole for the aileron balance arm, a splice plate to join the two pieces if you don’t make it from one extra long piece of channel – the kit comes this way – and a clip at the very end for mounting the outboard rib.
This hole – with the reinforcing plate - is for passage of the aileron control rod.
