Then my goal was to finish off the gear leg fairings. I needed a piece of .025” aluminum all of 6”x12”.  I looked all through my scrap and remains from the flat sheets and I could not come up with a piece big enough.  Because I was going to make a second seat sling, I had long ago bought a 4’x6’ sheet.  As it turned out I had enough for the second seat sling but not enough to finish the leg fairings.

The sheet had come rolled up and I have kept it that way in the box.  This is a very convenient way to ship aluminum but I prefer to store it flat.  I unrolled it and cut the small piece in picture three.  Picture four is a gift from Chris Williams. He built a tail dragger and at first cut two pieces for his but realized he had used the dimensions for the trike.  They are on the same plans page and an easy mistake to make.  He gave them to me and they where finally ready to go on my airplane.
