Finally, here is the something new. Some paint! All these parts are painted flat black. The first step was to apply a zinc oxide self etching primer. Then I applied a couple coats of flat black aircraft enamel.
The final two pictures are after the paint has dried and I have added a couple of pieces to the glare shield. It really looks good. However, I am a little concerned that I did something wrong with the primer. The directions are very clear and I followed them carefully, but the paint and primer seem to scrape off easily. I will give it another day to fully cure before I worry about it.
