Like a lot of builders, I would like to remove the panel in future – to add even more weight of course. I have seen various panel enhancements and what I decided to do was make a panel that would attach to the fitted panel with nutplates. The original panel would be turned into a frame. The transponder will hang below the panel on the right side and a small subpanel will be fitted under the center of the panel. It will hold the eyeball vents and headphone jacks.
