Here is an early step. This is where we level the wing. Prior to this, we centered the wing in the fuselage and then leveled the fuselage on the table – fore and aft and side to side – and clamped it to the table.

We tied a weighted string to the end of each wing at the same location. We shot a level laser line under the table so that it illuminated on each string.  Using the string to get a consistent plumb measurement, we raised the low wing (in this case the right wing) by placing a shim under the spar where it rested on the right side lower longeron. An .032” shim was all it took.  I exposed the second picture below so that the line is visible. The picture shows the same area as the first picture.
