The battery has been mounted in these pictures. Note that one of the hinges is essentially mounted with a hinge pin permanently attached. The other hinge pin will be safety wired.
Picture two shows the AHARS mounted but with an additional stiffener. My plan was to use .063” material at first but I used .032” instead. I think it would have been all right, except that the stiffening bend I intended could not be done prior to drilling and riveting the piece to the frame. I had to add a stiffener instead. Ideally this should be on the centerline. I’m off two inches but believe this is acceptable. If not, mounting a bracket to this shelf will not be hard.
