The battery has been mounted in these pictures. Note that one of the hinges is essentially mounted with a hinge pin permanently attached.  The other hinge pin will be safety wired.

Picture two shows the AHARS mounted but with an additional stiffener.  My plan was to use .063ā€ material at first but I used .032ā€ instead.  I think it would have been all right, except that the stiffening bend I intended could not be done prior to drilling and riveting the piece to the frame. I had to add a stiffener instead. Ideally this should be on the centerline. Iā€™m off two inches but believe this is acceptable. If not, mounting a bracket to this shelf will not be hard.
